This was my first solo attempt in a real studio.
I had been helping out Rod Slane at his studio
and he was starting a record company, so I got
record a couple of songs. I had everything on
this one but thought it still needed something, so I called Earl Clark in to do
something with his sax. I didn't really know what to suggest to him, so I said,
just listen and do what you think feels right. He did this. I am guessing in
mostly one take. For me it was one of those...what the...moments. Earl is no
longer with us, my goodness he could play.
